Christmas Letter 2011

2011 has brought an abundance of joy and good fortune. Our daughter was born February 6th and has expanded our hearts immeasurably. She is a happy, healthy, chubby baby with an easy temperament. Nana & Poppa have come to visit nearly every month and we travelled to New Jersey in May. We celebrated the completion of our 2nd parent adoption process in June. In July, W received a job transfer. It was an offer made in the nick of time, as California’s economy is too shaky for our new family. Sadly we said goodbye to great friends and neighbors. We made sure to visit the Pacific Ocean and buy a case of local wine before we left at the end of September. En route to our new apartment, I stopped in AZ & MN for a baby fest with cousin C (2 months her elder). W made the drive with Austin. At 16 years & 9 months old, Austin is still out there sniffing. We are getting settled on the east coast and purchased a charming old home that sits on ¼ acre. It has been a very busy year! We will spend Christmas with Nana and Poppa, which will round out Nug's airplane travel to 12 flights.

Sending our thoughts for a love-filled holiday and a calm new year, ha!
